Notice of re-opening:
Following our abrupt closure due to the Covid 19 Pandemic, Footsteps Family Centre is re-opening this fall.
For those families that are already affiliated with our program, things will look and feel very different now. However, in order to operate and ensure a safe environment, we must all commit to do whatever is necessary to keep our children safe. Parents will be required to sign an agreement/acknowledgement/understanding of the local public health requirements prior to returning to the centre.
Footsteps Family Centre is committed to providing a safe & healthy learning environment. In order to ensure operations success, we will follow protocols and procedures for daily health checks, exclusion of children, parents, and staff who are sick, infection prevention, and control and sanitary practices, as well as in- program health considerations.

Open & Inviting Child Care Facility
Footsteps Family Centre understands that fun, friendly, and inviting environment is important to your child’s development and growth. That’s why at our facility we provide a natural playspace for the children to play. Our facility outdoor playspace is currently being re-designed. Our goal is to provide the children with a playspace to include areas for gardening of vegetables and flowers, trees for shade and climbing, hills and slides that are multi-seasonal, and dry river beds and bridges, as well as sandboxes. The areas of this playspace will be designed to allow all age groups to play, learn and explore in a safe and fun environment. Children learn just as well inside the classroom as they do outside of it. At Footsteps Family Centre, we encourage children to play in order to grow.
